Our nursery is open Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 6.30pm 51 weeks per year for parents who need help with childcare. We offer the Government nursery education grant funding for 3 & 4 years olds & also for 2 year olds (if eligible). Tiny Toes is closed on all Bank Holidays and for one week during the Christmas and New Year period. We base all of our fees on 51 weeks per year, which are payable a month in advance.

All of the sessions above include nappies, wipes and snacks. Full Day and School Day sessions also include a free hot lunch, and Full Day sessions include a ‘high tea’. Morning and Afternoon Only sessions do not include lunch, but a hot lunch can be available between 12.30pm  and 1.30pm for an extra charge of £5.50 to include lunch and childcare.

Sessional Preschool Fee Structure

The Sessional Preschool Fees include a ‘mid-session’ snack, but lunch is not included in these prices and nappies and wipes are to be provided by the Parent/Guardian.

Government Grant – Free Entitlement

The Government nursery education grant is available to all 3, 4 and 5 year olds regardless of financial criteria, whereas the Government grant is available to 2 year olds subject to eligibility.

Children are entitled to free nursery education of up to 15 hours per week over 38 weeks in each year totalling 570 hours which can be spread at Tiny Toes over a 12-month period. Hours can be taken alone as a grant funded free nursery place depending on availability, or the money can be deducted from your monthly childcare costs. From September 2017 this Free Entitlement is being increased to 30 hours per week over 38 weeks in each year for 3, 4 and 5 year olds, subject to eligibility. Please contact us for further details.

Guide to financial help towards your nursery fees


We are pleased to accept all recognised childcare vouchers. You can ask your employer about their conditions on childcare vouchers, but if you need any more information please contact your local children’s information service.


This type of financial help is accessible to working people who have at least one dependant child. The amount eligible depends on individual circumstances. For further information you can contact The Tax Credit Helpline on 0845 300 3900.


Tiny Toes Day Nursery is registered with the local authority and accepts the Nursery Education Grant. Children aged 2 (if eligible), and all 3 and 4 years old are entitled to the Nursery Education Grant until they move up to primary school. Depending on the sessions booked at our nursery this compares up to 15 hour sessions per week for 38 weeks of the year. This will increase to 30 hour sessions per week from September 2017 subject to eligibility.


Child tax credits are also available to people who have at least one dependant child. You don’t have to be working to claim this benefit and the amount you receive will depend on your individual circumstances.
